The PhD thesis deals with the synthesis of polyazaligands using Pd-catalyzed amination of aryl halides. The manuscript consists of two parts. In the first part the scope of the Pd-catalyzed amination reaction for the synthesis of polyazamacrocyclic ligands is studied. The Pd-catalyzed amination of 2,7-dibromonaphthalene, 3,3’-dibromobiphenyl and 6,6’-dibromo-2,2’-bipyridyl with linear polyamines and oxadiamines is thoroughly investigated, and corresponding nitrogen- and oxygen-containing macrocycles is synthesized in yields up to 45%. Numerical analysis becomes a powerful resource in the study of partial differential equations (PDEs), allowing to illustrate existing theorems and find conjectures. By using sophisticated methods, questions which seem inaccessible before, like rapid oscillations or blow-up of solutions can be addressed in an approached way. Rapid oscillations in solutions are observed in dispersive PDEs without dissipation where solutions of the corresponding PDEs without dispersion present shocks. Adiponectin (ApN), a 30-kDa adipokine abundantly produced by adipose tissue has been described for the first time in 1995. Early findings demonstrating serum adiponectin levels are inversely correlated with obesity initiated intense investigation of the relationship between adiponectin and all symptoms of the metabolic syndrome. Of these studies, strong evidence suggests that a weight loss induced by medication or hypocaloric diet led to increased circulating ApN levels and improvement of biochemical parameters. Fay's identity on Riemann surfaces is a powerful tool in the context of algebro-geometric solutions to integrable equations. This relation generalizes a well-known identity for the cross-ratio function in the complex plane. It allows to establish relations between theta functions and their derivatives. This offers a complementary approach to algebro-geometric solutions of integrable equations with certain advantages with respect to the use of Baker-Akhiezer functions. A number of phonetic and phonological changes have lately been observed in most geographical varieties of British English. This phenomenon seems to have been accelerated by increasing social and geographical mobility in the past decades.
